Andy Leffler, Chairperson of the Superintendent Search Committee, has a few words to share with you regarding the update on the next Superintendent at the Indiana School for the Deaf.
Transcript:
Hello,
I want to give you an update on the Superintendent search. We just completed the first round of interviews for all of the candidates, and wow, they were all so good! This is not an easy decision for us. Today, we will start the second round of interviews to narrow down the candidates. We're moving along quickly.
You may remember that, due to the change in administration at the state level, we lost some time in this process and had to shorten our timeline. I know many of you have reached out seeking opportunities to meet the candidates, but unfortunately, we will not be able to host these opportunities due to our time constraints. However, we did hold meetings back in December with key stakeholders, staff, and students to gather information and community feedback on what they are looking for in a new superintendent.
The final round of interviews will happen very soon, and we are still confident in our goal to hire the new superintendent by early May. Thank you for your patience during this process.
