INDIANA SCHOOL FOR THE DEAF

After School Care

The goal of the After School Care (ASC) is to provide a quality program that is safe, fun, and affordable. Our program offers age-appropriate activities under the supervision of a competent, trustworthy, caring, and qualified staff that understands and meets the needs of the children in our care.

To meet the physical, intellectual, social, emotional, and recreational needs of children, our program will:

  • Give our students an opportunity to unwind from school by socializing with the peers.

  • Provide snacks & drinks.

  • Offer fun recreational activities in a safe environment with experienced childcare professionals.

  • If time permits, we will provide quiet time for our students to do some homework or read books with assistance.

ISD ASC eligibility during ASC hours of operations:

  • All Children attending ISD Pre-school, elementary, and middle school.

  • Children of ISD employees, up to 6th grade.

  • Children of ISD coaches, up to 6th grade.

Payment agreements will be coordinated with Jeanny before your child/children start attending ASC. You can make payments via check or money order payable to ISD-Student Life, and cash payments are also accepted.

A friendly reminder: please email Jeanny Wooten to confirm your registration for ASC services. We want to ensure everything is set up smoothly so that your child/children can participate without any issues. If you have any questions or need assistance, feel free to reach out—we’re happy to help!

Important Note: Please inform your child’s school secretary about their attendance at ASC. If no notification is given, it will be assumed that your child will be dismissed home at the end of the school hour.
