An exciting new chapter has begun at ISD as we welcome Superintendent Kimberly Kause into her new role!

While July 1st marked her first day as superintendent, Kim is no stranger to the ISD community. Since 2011, she has served as the Assistant Superintendent of Education (previously known as the Director of Instruction). Throughout her time at ISD, Kim has built strong relationships, led impactful initiatives, and demonstrated an unwavering commitment to educational excellence. Now, stepping into this new leadership role, she brings a deep understanding of our community's strengths, challenges, and hopes for the future.
This moment is also a significant milestone in ISD's long history. Founded in 1843, ISD has been shaped by generations of educators and leaders. Today, Superintendent Kause becomes the 14th superintendent to serve the school - and the first woman to hold the role in over 180 years. Her appointment reflects not only the strength of her leadership, but also the ongoing progress and evolution of our school. As we move into this next chapter together, we are confident that her leadership will continue to inspire and elevate everyone in our school community.
Please join us in welcoming Superintendent Kimberly Kause into this important role. We look forward to the journey ahead under her guidance.
