Community Service Requirements
All students pursuing an Indiana Diploma are required to complete 40 hours of community service before graduation. Community service hours must be earned through service at a minimum of two different organizations or locations.

School-Sponsored Community Service Opportunities
The school may provide community service opportunities on campus throughout the school year. Participation in these opportunities is available on a first-come, first-served basis. Priority may be given to seniors who need community service hours to meet graduation requirements.

Tracking Community Service Hours
Students are responsible for ensuring their community service hours are properly documented. To receive hours, the individual leading or supervising the service activity must complete the student's personalized Community Service form.

Students can find their personalized QR code and link in their Schoology account. Community service hours will only be counted after the form has been completed and submitted by the event leader.

Team Manager Service
Students may earn up to 10 community service hours for serving as a team manager during a sports season. This opportunity may be used once during their high school career and must be approved by Mimi Fetzer and Annette Tavernese.

Employment Waiver
Students who work more than 10 hours per week may qualify for a community service waiver. Eligible students may receive a waiver of 5 community service hours per semester. Students may continue to receive this waiver each semester as long as they maintain qualifying employment.

Fundraising Activities
Fundraising activities do not count toward community service hours, even when the funds support a school team or organization rather than the student directly. For example, participating in a car wash fundraiser for a cheer team would not qualify for community service hours.
