Recap of Two Weekends of Tournament Triumph

We achieved victory in tournaments over the past two weekends. Maryland School for the Deaf hosted the Clerc Classic XXII on the weekend of January 12-13, 2024, which was clinched by the Indiana Orioles varsity girls basketball team. On the same weekend, the Indiana Orioles varsity boys basketball team secured third place. The Willigan Tournament was organized by Texas School for the Deaf the following weekend, and it was there that the Indiana Orioles varsity wrestling team won the title.



Many of our student-athletes were recognized with honors including All-Tournament Team and Most Valuable Player.

At Clerc Classic XXII, our cheer team competed in the cheerleading competition. Model Secondary School for the Deaf won the title. The Indiana Orioles Cheer Squad will travel to Sulphur, Oklahoma, in 28 days to compete in the National Deaf Cheer Competition (NDCC). on additional information on the event scheduled on February 24, 2024, visit www.nationaldeafcheer.com.

When it came to wrestlers competition at the Willigan Tournament, our wrestlers excelled. The wrestlers have spoken about how the level of competition has increased this year. They prevailed in the game after a fierce battle.



At this Saturday's (January 27, 2024) Battle of the Orioles Homecoming, high school students exclusively will enjoy an exciting day that includes an Academic Bowl, boys' and girls' basketball, and a social night. Read more on this event.
