The Deaf Hoosier News e-newsletter is currently paused until further notice. However, you can still stay updated with the latest news and events by visiting our website, where we'll be posting regular updates. We appreciate your understanding and patience during this time.

Superintendent's Message:

We are rapidly approaching the end of the school year, with only 23 school days left on the calendar. As we gear up for the final stretch, there are several exciting events and celebrations on the horizon. Please refer to the families' calendar for a comprehensive list of upcoming events.

A huge congratulations are in order for Coach Kutcka and the softball team for their outstanding victory at the Hoy XXI Championship. Your hard work and dedication have paid off, and we extend our gratitude to everyone who participated and contributed to the success of Hoy XXI.

Graduation day is swiftly approaching on June 7th, with the ceremony set to commence at 6:00 p.m. To the Class of 2024, you have accomplished so much this year, and the Indiana School for the Deaf is incredibly proud of each and every one of you. As you prepare to spread your wings and embark on new adventures, know that you carry with you our support and best wishes for a bright future ahead.

Additionally, we will be celebrating the promotions of our 5th and 8th-grade students on June 6th. The 5th-grade promotion ceremony will take place at Simms Hall, Simms Gym, at 1:00 p.m., followed by the 8th-grade promotion ceremony at Kratzenberg Recreational Center (KRC), at 4:00 p.m.

As we approach the end of the school year, let us reflect on the journey we've shared and look forward to the opportunities that lie ahead. Thank you for your continued support and participation in making this school year a success.

Warm regards,

Dr. David Geeslin
