Superintendent's Message

Here we are one year after the pandemic arrived, and I will say it again, how incredibly proud I am of our staff, our students, and our parents as we found ways to overcome the challenges before us. Thank you for your ongoing support and patience as we traveled this road together safely. Gleaners' Mobile Food Pantry will be at Ivy Tech, NIC parking lot, 101 W. 28th St., Indianapolis, IN 46208 on April 12 and 19 from 3 p.m. - 5 p.m. No ID or proof of income is required. Anyone in need may stop by to receive a free pre-filled box of grocery items that will be placed in your trunk! For more information, visit www.gleaners.org. #NoOneRunsOnEmpty campaign is working with Marco Andretti and help drive away hunger. The Academic Bowl National competition will occur the week of April 26-30 at Gallaudet University in Washington, DC. Our Academic Bowl Team is raising funds through their Study-A-Thon. Please be aware that ISD’s campus and events are still closed to visitors and the public. However, ISD families and staff may attend the games. ISD’s 2020-2021 Yearbook orders are now available. Visit www.treering.com to place your order. Our school code is 101456344060535. There is a special offer (optional) for two free custom pages to be included in your yearbook. Don't wait too long! Spring will go by fairly quickly and we will arrive at our destination, the end of the 2021 school year. On Thursday, June 10 we will promote our Pre-K, 5th, and 8th grade students. The Class of 2021’s commencement/graduation ceremony will be held on the following day, Friday, June 11. Additional details will be shared with ISD families.
