While we were in California, we learned a lot about landslides, mudslides, and earthquakes.
Sadly, a severe earthquake (with mudslides and many aftershocks) hit China early Monday morning ... thousands of people have died. Click on the links below and read about the earthquake:
CNN MSNBC CBS News FOXNews
Use Dreamweaver to make a new web page about the earthquake in China. Write a summary of what happened. Include photos and list the website where you got your information. Make sure you include the answers to these questions:
1. When did the earthquake happen?
2. Where was the epicenter?
3. What cities have suffered the most damage?
4. How many people were killed or are missing?
5. What was the magnitude (how strong) of the earthquake and after shocks?
6. Why has it been difficult for people to be rescued?
7. What is the government in China doing to help their people?
8. Have other countries offered help?

We will look at photos of the trip and talk about the places we visited.

Unfortunately, I could not transfer new daily messages during this time, due to the Tech Center blocking access. Hopefully, you read the daily blog of what we did while we were in California. I did look at your lab reports you transferred to your SOAR-High portfolios. Thanks for doing your work!

While Meg and Benjamin are in California this week, you will be able to see and read about what they are doing and learning. Click here to read our journal (blog).
You will need to work on writing two different lab reports. Use Dreamweaver to make your lab reports. Use your lab report guides that are in your white folders.
2nd Sand Box Experiment, Wet Sand (Click here for your data.)
3rd Sand Box Experiment, Dry Sand, Extension (Click here for your data.)
There are photos in your class folder that you can add to your lab reports.
Add new links to your cover page for your new lab reports.
Transfer your new cover page, your new lab reports, and your photos to your
SOAR-High portfolio.
