Superintendent's Message

Superintendent Dr. David Geeslin
This school year will definitely go down as a memorable year in ISD’s history! Our first annual ASL Run Series brought new and familiar faces to our campus on PTCO day to celebrate health and support our students. I look forward to seeing you all again September 30th to participate in the second 5k walk/run in the series.

Other major milestones for ISD included our production of Hairspray and the International Trip Club’s biennial excursion to Southeast Asia this year. Both of these events allowed our students to explore different cultures and history.

Hosting the Midwest Regional Academic Bowl and winning the National Academic Bowl competition helped bring an overwhelming amount of support and recognition to our school and state. It was an honor to celebrate our victory with the governor, and receive recognition from the Indiana House of Representatives.

As I reflect on the great successes we’ve had this school year I must say that staff appreciation week is not nearly enough time to express my gratitude to our wonderful team here at ISD. From our Administration & Education Leadership teams to our housekeeping and maintenance staff, your hard work is greatly appreciated. I’d also like to thank the teachers and ISD families who work directly with our students to meet their personal and educational goals. Our history and legacy are directly tied to your commitment and dedication. Thank you.

As our 2017 graduates move on to thrive and excel in the next stages of their lives I hope they too reflect on this year and previous years at ISD with great pride and admiration for the people that made it all possible.

Have a great summer!
