Digital Citizenship

This Spring, ISD is beginning a renewed emphasis on digital citizenship education in grades 3-12.  With the increased access to digital resources, communities, and communication, it is more vital than ever that we support and guide our students as they navigate the digital world we all live in.
We have chosen to use the digital citizenship curriculum from Common Sense Media as a foundation for discussion and exploration of digital citizenship topics.  Students in grades 3-5 will explore these
topics during their digital media class with Mrs. Tiffany Hoglind.  Students in grades 6-12 will do activities and have discussions during their homeroom time in the mornings. The image below shows the topics that will be discussed at each grade level.

I encourage you to start having conversations at home about digital citizenship and your child's digital life as well.  To get started, please watch the video below.
