Volunteering at Camp Willard
We thank you for your interest in volunteering to work with us at Camp Willard this summer. Volunteers working at Camp Willard will work alongside the camp counselors. In addition to daily responsibilities relating to activities, volunteers will also assist with registration, fireside activities, communication facilitation, hikes through the woods, arts and crafts, drama, photography/media, helping more physically challenged campers…and much more. The exact nature of each volunteer’s responsibilities and schedule will be decided by the Camp Director, based on skill level and ability. We hope that each volunteer will be able to utilize the skills they already possess, while learning new skills and stretching themselves personally.
Volunteers will not receive any monies for their contribution to Camp Willard. In exchange for volunteer services, we will provide lodging, meals, and a free Camp Willard T-shirt. The most priceless reimbursement will be the learning experiences and memories that volunteers will gather during their time with us.
The primary language used at Camp Willard will be American Sign Language. Please know that all volunteers at Camp Willard must be able to use American Sign Language at the time of their initial interview.
